INTO THE LIGHT
This is my response to the Copenhagen Photography Festival Brief
This project was created with the intention of exploring how people are able to overcome difficult situations and how this impacts their personalities and perspectives on life. This selection of images were created in candid settings to feel most authentic to the personalities I was aiming to capture within this body of work.

This is a personal project - I wanted to shine a light on the amazing collection of people I am surrounded by everyday - it was important for me to be able to create a collection of portraits that celebrate their individual personalities and personal achievements in equal measure.

Life isn't easy - we all have traumatic experiences that stick with us - we are all broken and haphazardly stuck back together - but we are still here, we are still smiling and I think that is pretty amazing.
